Soil Grow Bag: Weirdest Hair Loss Remedy I’ve Ever Heard Of
This is just a quick post to illustrate the point that in the crazy world of underground hair loss treatments, anything is possible. Now, I’m not saying that the following will work, nor am I saying that you should try it. I’m merely relaying to you what I saw.
Several years ago, there was a guy on UK daytime TV giving his hair re-growth story which was pretty crazy to say the least. He was probably mid-30’s to early 40’s, had heavy recession and thinning all over the top of his hair.
During the summer months, he’d been enjoying the sun laying in his garden, laying out and resting his head on a soil grow bag. Well, as it turns out, this grow bag wasn’t only capable of growing vegetables and plants - but hair, as the man noticed new hair sprouting up.
Encouraged by this, he took it further (To me the next part is pretty funny and impractical but, he still did it and got results). He started wearing a tight shower cap FILLED with soil from the grow bag whilst he went to sleep on a night. Over time, his hair thickened up a great deal. There were pictures which showed this, as well as commentary from his hair dresser that his hair was definitely getting thicker and fuller.
I don’t know about the validity of this, but his wife attested to it also, and also voiced her disdain for the mess it made of the bed sheets. If there’s one thing I’m certain of, it’s this: If someone was to go through the ritual and mess of sleeping with soil on their head each night and having to wash it out every morning, then it wouldn’t be for nothing.
If nothing else, it just goes to show that hair loss treatments can happen sometimes by accident, and, come in the most unlikely forms – so don’t give up hope. If you find something or think something may work, give it several months of unobstructed, undiluted trial.
I can safely say, no matter how bald I get, I’ll never be doing this. (But, you just never know… unfortunately.)
P.S. If there’s anyone out there from the UK who remembers seeing or hearing about this (it was about 4-6 years ago, I recall), it’d be great to hear from you.
