Balding Haircuts: Advice That Works And Will Save You Embarrassment
Just as going bald can cause a person distress, it can also make choosing a haircut a bit of a problem, too. It’s a rather unpalatable fact that one has to look to so-called ‘balding haircuts’ but it’s a fact nonetheless – so stick with me, I’ll help you.
If You’re Very, Very Bald…
I’m not a person to mess around, and although I may well lose 90% of people reading this article right here, at least I’ll save you some time. I’ll tell you now that, no matter how ugly you are, nor how misshapen your head is, nor how big your ears are… if you have hair which is balding severely and thinner than arm hair, then the only option you have is the buzz cut.
If You Have A Receding Hairline…
You may be prone to try to cover it up. This may make it look worse and more unnatural than you think, and, actually spiking the hair up to expose the receding hairline can work well. (I actually believe I look better with my hair done this way than having my hair brushed down.) It also makes me look far more confident. Having it brushed down can sometimes make it look like I’m trying to cover it up, I’m unsure of myself, and even… loath to say it… that I’m ‘wearing’.
Think Jude Law and how his hairline used to be flicked up despite the fact it was obviously receding… the guy looked good, and there’s every chance you will.
If You Have Thinning…
If you have thinning then you may be able to hide it more by dying your hair lighter or bleaching it, and spiking it up. (For gods sake, don’t go for a comb over…)
It’s a fact — and let’s face it, common sense — that having light coloured hair on light coloured skin makes balding far less obvious.
Also, again, spiking your hair up once you’ve lightened it can work to hide the fact that your hair is thinning so much, rather than combing it flat.
